- Verifies which parts, materials, supplies, and equipment are needed to ensure that an adequate supply is on hand
- Approve requisitions for the purchase of raw materials and supplies, MRO Items and approve invoices for payment of these materials and services within scope of authority.
- Maintain accurate records of pricing, supplier information and purchases.
- Update inventory reporting.
- Assist with automation of supply chain tools for more efficient reporting
- Track and analyze purchasing activities and data. Prepare reports as needed and apply the results to purchasing decisions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Shown strong analytic abilities with the ability to conduct research and analysis to make insights into product decisions
- Demonstrated proficiency with common Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Outlook.
- It is critical that this individual knows how to lead through ambiguity, balance multiple tasks, and prioritize appropriately. Working in a flexible environment is a critical part of this role. This person needs to be able to tackle problems with a balance of creativity and fiscal responsibility.
- Experience as a buyer or a procurement specialist in manufacturing.
- ERP business software systems experience.
- The Buyer will establish measurement systems, report and educate users in maintaining supply systems to ensure accuracy in inventory levels.
- 2-4 years of college business education, or equivalent work experience
