Description
The EDEKA Group North Bavaria-Saxony-Thuringia, based in Rottendorf, is one of seven regional groups within the cooperative EDEKA network.

It serves as a wholesaler and concept provider for approximately 900 retail stores under the brands "EDEKA", "E center", "MARKTKAUF", and "diska" in North Bavaria, northern Baden-Württemberg, Thuringia, and Saxony.

In addition, it operates two production facilities for meat and sausage products through its subsidiary FRANKEN-GUT. The cooperative, which was founded in 1912, is the nucleus of the group.

In 2021, the EDEKA Group North Bavaria-Saxony-Thuringia, together with independent retailers, achieved a total turnover of approximately 4.8 billion euros and employs around employees and 1,400 apprentices.

It is therefore one of the largest employers and trainers in the region.

The new EDEKA Center in Bayreuth, operated by Mr. Schneider (opening in summer 2024), is currently seeking energetic support as soon as possible.
