    Job Description

    Title: Temp Sample Cutter
    Location: Onsite - Hawthorne, CA 90250
    Schedule: Monday – Thursday 8am – 4:30pm
    Duration: 8-12 weeks, possibly longer
    Pay range: $18-23/hr
    Hourly rate is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JBC.

    Job Summary: Candidate must be detailed oriented, organized, and have sense of urgency. He/she will be responsible for the cutting and preparation of our fabrics.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for spreading, marking, and cutting fabric
    • Cut multiple layers of material into parts, keeping cuts straight and piles even, following pattern or markings
    • Sharpen cutter blade or change blades as necessary
    • Clean up cut table, separating cutting waste according to color and disposing of scrap properly
    • Clean electric fabric cutter, lubricate, and store
    • Perform other duties as needed or assigned


    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
    • Knowledge on the usage of various cutting tools
    • Must know the accurate places for mark material
    • Knowledge of fabrics, lining with the ability to identify any potential fabric problems
    • Minimum 2 years' experience
    • Detailed oriented
    • Good team member skills
    • Production/Sample cutting experience essential
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish
    • Must be vaccinated against Covid and provide proo
