Work Schedule:
M - F 45 hours/week (on-site)


Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Purchasing Coordinator.

In this role, you will be responsible for procurement processing, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services within a manufacturing setting.


Essential Functions:


  • Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services
  • Research potential vendors and evaluate their products and services
  • Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price, and in correct amounts based on the company's current needs
  • Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices
  • Review sales records and inventory levels of current stock to develop strategic purchasing programs that facilitate employee access to supplies
  • Collaborate with several internal departments on a continuous basis
  • Manage relationships with vendors, including resolving any issues or disputes that may arise
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor information
  • Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations.

Other Duties:


This position may also be utilized as a back-up for the Receiving department due to its close relationship with the ordered materials.

This duty (if utilized) would be mínimal and only applicable for time off coverage.


Experience:


  • Proven experience in procurement management or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles
  • Familiarity with contract negotiation and management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in using procurement software or systems
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment

Pay:
$ $31.00 per hour
