    Limited Duration: This is a full-time, limited-duration position that is grant funded through September 30, 2026. Continuation beyond that date is subject to available funding.

    The Civil and Criminal Programs Division (CCPD) is part of the (OSCA) within OJD. CCPD develops, implements, manages, and evaluates civil and criminal programs for application in the state courts and for use by public and government stakeholders.     Benefits to You

    Position Highlights

    CCPD, based in Salem, Oregon, is hiring a Treatment Court BJA RANT Analyst (Analyst 3). As part of OJD's cross-divisional Specialty Court Team, you will coordinate and perform tasks in support of a statewide Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program. You will perform analysis and identify issues, risks, and mitigation strategies to ensure timely implementation of the Risk and Needs Triage Tool (RANT), a screening tool designed to assist in the equitable referral and entry of criminal justice involved individuals into adult drug courts statewide.

    As a subject matter expert for the grant program, you will continue deploying the RANT statewide and will support implementation in the courts by providing technical assistance, onsite support, guidance, and training. You will work closely with court coordinators to gather key data and feedback, and you will partner with the data team to evaluate reports and dashboards, and to bridge any information gaps. You will deploy two regional RANT training sessions, and you will assess and revise the Risk Needs Responsivity training plan as needed. This work will include working with pilot courts and local subject matter experts, creating training agendas, and identifying guest speakers and venues. You will also catalog important reports, data, and information on our SharePoint site and create model court forms and informational packets.

    You will initiate and maintain strong working relationships with judges, community leaders, legislators, attorneys, community groups, service providers, and other stakeholders, and you will represent the Specialty Court Team at a variety of workgroup and committee meetings related to the grant program. You will also coordinate with the Chief Justice, the Legislative Affairs team, and OSCA leadership regarding OSCA strategic plans and goals.

    Minimum Qualifications

    (These must be evident in your resume or work history.)

    The qualified candidate must have a bachelor's degree in business, court administration, public administration, or a related field.
    AND
    Three (3) years of increasingly responsible professional-level experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.

    OR

    Any combination of equivalent to seven (7) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

    Note: Professional-level experience is defined as:

    • The ability to use independent judgment and discretion in performing work duties.
    • A level of specialized knowledge in the field of work with some authority for independent decision-making.
    • In-depth work requirements, such as data gathering, analysis and interpretation.
    • Interaction with a broad range of individuals.
    • Individual accountability for results.

    • Experience working in a court or other legal environment that included knowledge of drug court.
    • Experience researching, evaluating, and reporting complex data, including recommending next steps.

    • Experience designing or providing training for adult learners.
    • Understanding of the importance of equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts within criminal or civil organizations.

    Working Conditions

    • This is a full-time, limited-duration position, and the work schedule currently is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position is FLSA-exempt and ineligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per workweek.
    • Some early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday work will come in cycles, especially during legislative sessions.
    • Occasional travel, including overnight stays, will be required for court visits and to participate in meetings and other events.
    • Frequent contact with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
    • Occasional contact with people who are angry, confused, or frustrated.
    • Daily management and multitasking of projects with conflicting requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
    • Frequent reading of hard copy and digital documents or websites.
    • Long periods of sitting or standing.
    • Regular use of the following equipment: telephone, OJD-assigned computer with multiple monitors, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner.
