    Description

    Encore Talent Solutions is seeking a Java Technical Lead for its direct client in Cincinnati, OH. This is a contract and onsite role.

    Job Title: Java Technical Lead

    Location: Cincinnati, OH/Onsite (5 days/week)

    Position type: Contract

    This role requires proficiency in containerization, Git, Java, Microservices and Spring Boot. It's nice to have experience with Amazon Elastic Container Service, AWS, and OpenShift.

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • Expertise in Java/Spring Boot, with experience in Java 17+.
    • Experience in REST API development.
    • Familiarity with containerization.
    • 10 + years of experience
    • Knowledge of software development best practices.
    • Experience with Git and GitHub.
    • Understanding of software development methodologies.
    • Knowledge of security best practices in software development.
    • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience in development using OSX.
    • Proficiency in Unit Testing with JUnit.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Experience with 12-factor applications.
    • Microservices development using Node/ExpressJs.
    • Knowledge of AWS and familiarity with Elastic Container Service (ECS).
    • Experience in greenfield application development.
    • Proficiency with Terraform.
    • Configuration and tuning of Tomcat Embedded.
    • Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault.
    • Experience with Jenkins CI/CD.
    • Knowledge of OpenShift.
