As our Buyer, you will be a part of a knowledgeable and well-diverse engineering team who loves to have fun and get stuff done You will play a key role in purchasing and scheduling activities.

This position supports all operational locations. You'll enjoy working in a fun, collaborative, and fast (high-mix/low-volume) manufacturing operation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in purchasing is required.
Must possess excellent written, oral, and presentation skills as well as solid math skills.
Must be able to multitask.
Must have strong telephone skills and be very organized.
Must be a "team player".
Must be able to work independently.
Must be able to work with Microsoft Office and GoogleWorkspace as well as the company's MRP/ERP system.

What are you Accountable for?

Make daily purchases within allotted programs based on requisitions and analyze the quality, specifications and delivery requirements
Send out quotations for bid on noncontracted items and negotiate the best price
Review purchase orders on a weekly basis via our reporting system and follow up on past due items plus requirements due in the coming weeks.
Highlight any problem areas and report them to the manager
Interact with Planning and Production to ensure any changes in production requirements are flowed down to suppliers
Liaise with planners to control scheduling of parts to ensure stock levels meet demands while staying within stock level buffers
Review Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)/Withhold tags written against suppliers and relays such information to them with corrective action
Update suppliers with engineering changes and drawings
