    The Head of Information Technology manages and directs the technology team to execute the short and long-term strategic technology initiatives which support Outdoor Cap Company sales, service, and operational goals. The position is responsible for executive ownership of technology transformation initiatives while selecting, developing, and leading a team of qualified developers, administrators, product managers, and service desk personnel. Utilizing versatile strengths-oriented team leadership this individual is responsible for establishing company-wide technology objectives, policies, programs, practices, and training initiatives to ensure the company is secure and equipped to provide best in class service, internally and externally.

    The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of all IT functions including agile development, cloud and on-premises architecture, support, hardware, software, networking, system administration, UI/UX, and project management.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Ensures infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity plans that support the company's current processes and scalability toward future growth through a wholistic approach focused on information security policy, human resources security, asset management, access controls, incident management, physical and operational security, communication and training, system acquisition & management, supplier relations, and business continuity.
    • Collaboratively with other executive leaders gains deep understanding of business needs to plan and execute digital transformation to help strategically grow the organization's future B2B and B2C businesses.
    • Provides executive leadership and long-term strategy alignment to all technology team leaders, including infrastructure, service desk, software development, Business Transformation, and Business Intelligence.
    • Leads enterprise-wide assessments to provide insight on key areas of technological strength and weakness, as well as guides ongoing investment and organizational strategies which ensure business continuity.
    • Responsible for development, implementation, oversight and maintenance of the IT budget process in collaboration with the finance team.
    • Communicates goals, projects, timelines, and status updates regularly both to the IT team, leadership team, and cross-functionally as necessary.
    • Selects, hires, and focuses on development of the IT team as a whole toward growth of company and investment of individual career path.
    • Effectively leads the IT and cross-functional teams through process discovery, assessment & mapping, planning/road mapping, and reporting as it relates to digital transformation or IT service projects.
    • Provides leadership to those responsible for the successful completion of the RFP process, implementation of technology services, and compliance with all necessary government regulatory requirements applicable to information systems operations including Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CT-PAT).

    • Technical Knowledge {Specialized knowledge, experience, and expertise related to the work across a wide array of across technology related fields including infrastructure/operations, application development, data/BI, cybersecurity, & service desk/desktop support.}

    Education and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree(Master's degree preferred) in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field or 7-10 years related experience and/or training in a role performing duties of one or more of the following: Developer, System Administrator, Network Engineer, System Architect, Security Officer
    • 5 years' experience in a technology-based leadership role overseeing areas listed above.
    • Expert in enterprise level Microsoft Office Suite (O365) implementation
    • Skilled in ERP systems such as Exenta, Oracle/NetSuite
    • Experience in cloud-based platforms, such as Salesforce, Microsoft Azure, Magento, MuleSoft
    • Knowledge of recent development technologies
    • Agile Project Management Certification preferred

    Physical /Mental Requirements:

    • The person in this position frequently communicates with internal and external customers and must be able to exchange accurate information in a clear manner.
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated) 80% of the day and occasionally reach, bend, and move inside the office to access files and product.
    • Domestic and/or international travel up to 30%.
    • Ability to move 10-20 lbs. occasionally throughout day; occasional lifting of up to 40lbs in limited trade show environment.
    • Able to hear a telephone ring.
