Description
ChildServe is looking for an Inpatient Clinical Manager to ensure care and staff related outcomes are met in one of our complex medical care units.
This role is responsible for developing policies and processes related to care in partnership with the leadership team and ensure compliance with internal and external policies, regulations, and accreditations for the Inpatient unit.
What You'll Do:
Supervise the team through effective hiring, training, coaching, and performance management. Ensure development of staff to achieve high results, and promote engagement and satisfaction to drive retention.
Partner with the leadership team regarding admissions, care, and discharges.
Ensure the development, revision and implementation of each child's care plan, and achieve the goals and outcomes established by the care team, child, and family.
Ensure clinical care is implemented according to best practices as defined by ChildServe policy and practice manuals, including but not limited to infection control and safety.
Implement and monitor unit-specific quality improvement activities and initiatives.Determine and ensure adequate staffing in alignment with care expectations.
Prepare unit Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and lead implementation of initiatives.
Proactively communicate to stakeholders (staff, families, and other internal and external partners) to ensure effective information sharing and risk management.
Assist with development of unit budget and ensure appropriate spending, and manage occupancy to meet goals.What You'll Need:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and licensed to practice as an RN in the State of Iowa, BSN preferred.
Two years of nursing supervisory experience.
Specialty nursing certifications preferred (CPN, CBIS, CRRN).
Ability to understand and communicate effectively and professionally in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
