Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Cashier/Team Member and become the friendly face that delivers exceptional customer service while efficiently managing transactions. In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for providing a welcoming environment, handling food and retail sales, and supporting daily operations in a fast-paced food service or retail setting. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable experiences for our customers and keep our team running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, assist with their needs, and ensure a positive experience from start to finish
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity
- Prepare food items according to established standards, including basic food preparation and food safety practices
- Upsell menu items or products to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including food handling stations, counters, and dining spaces
- Support food industry operations by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and assisting in kitchen tasks when needed
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or retail environments; café or quick service restaurant experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for smooth transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math tasks
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in cashiering, serving, bussing tables, or working in a grocery store or food industry setting is highly desirable
