    JOB SUMMARY: This role is responsible for executing a sales plan assigned by the Sysco Specialty Meat Group (SSMG) company, aiming to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration in the designated territory. The main tasks involve promoting, selling, and securing orders from both existing and potential customers through a relationship-based sales approach. Additionally, showcasing products and services to customers and aiding them in selecting the most suitable options.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Establish, cultivate, and nurture business relationships with current and prospective customers to drive new business for Sysco Specialty Meat Group's (SSMG) offerings.
    • Conduct in-person visits and presentations to engage with clients.
    • Take customer orders while focusing on sales and profit maximization goals.
    • Participate in order processing and handle customer inquiries in collaboration with inside sales partners.
    • Promptly address customer issues and requirements.
    • Address daily inventory, shortages, and logistics challenges efficiently.
    • Analyze and act on sales and margin reports regularly to identify enhancement opportunities.
    • Stay updated on product uses, technical services, market trends, and competitors in the industry.
    • Engage in training and customer events organized by Sysco Specialty Meat Group (SSMG).
    • Cultivate relationships with accounts payable contacts at each account and facilitate communication with the SSMG account receivable team.
    • Implement strategies to manage outstanding payments effectively.
    • Maintain accurate customer profiles and call sheets to ensure correct pricing and minimize errors.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Education:
    • High School diploma.
    • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, business, marketing, agriculture/animal science, or related fields.
    Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in food service and/or sales is highly desirable.
    Professional Skills:
    • Proficiency in meat and seafood products or restaurant/culinary background with a demonstrated ability to learn and apply new knowledge swiftly.
    • Strong consultative sales skills.
    • Self-motivated with excellent time management and customer service abilities.
    • Effective customer relationship management skills and a proactive approach to meeting customer requirements.
    • Basic computer proficiency, including MS Outlook.

    • Determining sales strategies.
