The position of Ready-Mix Concrete Front End Loader Operator will be tasked with operating a front-end loader in a safe represent while maintaining a safety-first attitude.

This position requires management of resources in adherence with all company standards, policies and procedures, as well as compliance with all federal and state regulations, including OSHA, TCEQ etc.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow safety rules, regulations and procedures set forth by OSHA and Alleyton Resource Co. policies.
  • Safely perform preshift and postshift inspections of equipment and work area, complete daily equipment reports and report unsafe equipment/situation to supervisor or foreman.
  • Demonstrate the ability to safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment at all times.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices in/on work periods area.
  • Assist maintenance personnel with plant repairs or preventative maintenance when needed.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude & energy level and work as a team player.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
  • Ability to work in a confined area with other heavy equipment and ground personnel and be aware of all of the surrounding hazards during operation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Prior experience if you haven safe operation of front end loader. General maintenance abilities are preferred. Proficient knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.


Computer Skills:
General computer knowledge and navigation. Experience with Microsoft Office products and some ability to adapt to other computer software.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Position requires daily on-time attendance during scheduled shift. Reliable on-time transportation to/from work is of utmost importance. Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as needed.


WORKING CONDITIONS
Most time is spent outdoors although in the enclosed cab of mobile equipment. Occasional outside assignments may require periods of work in all weather conditions, heat, cold, wet or dry. May have exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel, exhaust, lubricants, solvents, etc. Work areas may often contain poor and unlevel ground conditions. Work area may have noise levels up to 90 dbs.

Work areas require personal protective equipment such as, hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, high visibility vest or shirt, and hearing protection.


PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing at times.

The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 75 pounds.

Must be able to frequently climb stairs and ladders. May occasionally deal with heights. Ability to operate hand levers, foot pedals and steering wheel. Must be able to enter and exit equipment by climbing 6-step ladder up to 50 times daily. Ability to remain seated in equipment for up to 12 hours daily. Must have hand-eye coordination and vision to safely operate mobile equipment. Ability to read and interpret gauges and use hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. Bending, stooping, climbing and reaching are all required. Will be requir
