- Responsible for 3D design of custom equipment design solutions, including physical plan, elevations, section detail views required custom views for FACTS solutions for orders and proposals.
- Develop Bills of Material for all designs, ensure consistency and quality throughout design process.
- Coordinate with offshore design resources and the project team members on technical matters to meet project specifications, cost control and schedule objectives.
- Interface with internal and external team members such as principal engineers, control engineers, civil engineers, electrical designers, project managers, engineering leaders and support organizations.
- Facilitate the development and execute cost reduction programs that vary in scope and may include low-cost vendor selection, design improvements, process improvements, automation, and new product introduction.
- Excellent personal computer skills, including proficiency with Excel and Word, Autodesk and Bentley Open Utilities (or MicroStation) 3D CAD platforms.
- Support project quality procedures and initiatives including aspects of ISO9001.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (OR Associates degree with 3 years of experience in the specific field of engineering design)
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% as required, which may include remote locations and international travel, and be willing to comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies.
- Knowledge of and experience using IEEE, IEC, ANSI, NEC, and NESC standards and codes, and ability to design packages when no clear customer specification is provided.
- Superior communication in the English language and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
