Position Summary:

Manages import/export processes, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws.

Responsibilities include preparing and processing documentation, coordinating shipments, evaluating tariffs and duties, resolving customs-related issues, staying updated on trade laws, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth logistics and customs clearance for goods.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure adherence to customs regulations, tariffs, and trade laws by accurately completing and filing required documentation for imports and exports.
  • Prepare and process shipping documents, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to coordinate shipments, optimize transportation routes, and ensure timely customs clearance.
  • Assess potential risks related to customs compliance and implement strategies to mitigate risks, such as conducting audits and ensuring proper classification of goods.
  • Address customsrelated issues and discrepancies, liaising with customs authorities and relevant stakeholders to resolve problems that may arise during import/export processes.
  • Responsible for effective leadership in the areas of Safety, Health, and Environment, ensuring a safe workplace, eliminating the possibility of injury to people or the environment.

Skills, Qualifications, Certifications, Licenses, Training:


  • The position requires a professional in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or a related field, with experience of more than 5 years in the different administrative processes related to traffic and customs.
  • Experience in Logistics and transportation of materials. Intermediate English Proficiency. Ability to establish appropriate interpersonal relationships and teamwork. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Management of the SAP system (preferably in the MM module). Solid knowledge of the Microsoft environment (Word, Excel and Power Point).

Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually mild in office conditions and moderate in the production area.

From $50,000.00 per year
