Job Description

As a Junior Process Engineer in the Natural Derivatives Department at Belmont, you will be responsible for supporting the assessment, development, implementation, and continued operation of both new and established processing equipment in production environments. This includes extraction and purification processes used for dealcoholization of wine, raw fruit materials, and fruit waste streams as part of our natural derivatives strategy.

Responsibilities


• Plan and support process development and validation R&D projects at laboratory, pilot, and production scale environments


• Assist with process design efforts from conceptualization to detailed design, including:

  • Mass and energy balances
  • Engineering design and dimensioning calculations
  • 2D process and instrumentation diagrams
  • Instrumentation and unit selection
  • 3D plant design


• Oversee plant construction efforts and coordinate with third-party suppliers, such as equipment suppliers, welders, automation and programming service providers, and pipe-fitters


• Support on-site installation, integration, and testing of processing units


• Identify and implement improvements to maximize throughput and efficiency


• Lead the proposal, testing, and implementation of process optimizations


• Prepare technical analysis reports for process equipment
