    Position Summary


    Assists investigator with managing clinical research studies being conducted in the Integrated Biomedical Imaging Lab (IBIL); may be responsible for multiple research studies simultaneously, acting as a liaison with the school, sponsoring agency, and clinical research team; manages and records all phases of study protocol as required by sponsoring agency to ensure compliance.

    This position requires availability to take calls outside of standard business hours and may require occasional on-call shifts.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities


    • Serves as the primary liaison between IBIL and clinical research team; trains new team members on data collection procedures and helps the clinical team trouble-shoot issues during study visits.
    • Assists in developing plans for research projects and discusses the interpretation of results; collaborates in the preparation of manuscripts for publications and preparation of grant proposals to sponsoring agencies; assists in the preparation of amendments to protocols and/or modifications to study design as appropriate.
    • Coordinates the development of forms and processes; assists in writing instructional procedure manuals for data collection and processing; reviews journals, abstracts and scientific literature to keep abreast of new developments and to obtain information regarding previous studies to aid in the planning of new studies.
    • Implements and monitors compliance with protocol guidelines and requirements of regulatory agencies; establishes record-keeping systems; analyzes and investigates technical problems and adverse events; makes and/or recommends protocol adjustments; may serve as liaison with funding or sponsoring agency.
    • Processes, evaluates, and interprets research data, including image segmentation or other data manipulation; prepares oral or written presentations or reports and analyses setting forth progress trends and provides recommendations or conclusions of the same.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    Preferred Qualifications


    • Working knowledge of techniques and methodologies used in developing, coordinating and managing clinical research projects.
    • Working knowledge of database management, spreadsheet and statistical analysis software.
    Required Qualifications


    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Minimum of two years of clinical research experience.
    • Combination of relevant work and college education equaling six years may substitute for this requirement.
    • Required Licensure/Certification/Registration: Basic Life Support certification (Online Basic Life Support certifications, those without a skills assessment component are not sufficient to meet the Basic Life Support requirements). Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.

    Salary Range

    $51, $77,400.00 / Annually

    The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.

    Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
