Position Summary
The Seez Lab is seeking a research coordinator to work on a project aimed at understanding changes in neural excitability induced by spinal cord stimulation and motor learning, and will assist with participant recruitment, consenting, scheduling, subject payments, and experiments, and will
be available to answer research questions as needed. They will be responsible for institutional study oversight and assist in IRB and regulatory requirements required for human studies.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Regulatory Oversight
Submit/review/modify IRB applications for human subjects research.
Registration and yearly reporting for studies in
Study records and enrollment oversight.
Human Subjects Research
Participant recruitment.
Participant scheduling.
Assist lab members in data collection during experiments.
Monitor, evaluate, and update records/data during experiments.
Arrange transportation for SCI participants.
Conduct screening and mental state questionnaires.
Process subject payments and reimbursements.
Answer research questions.
Ordering and keeping inventory of research supplies.
Dissemination of Knowledge
Assist with grant preparation for human subjects research.
Train other lab recruits and lab members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in biology, physical or occupational therapy, neuroscience or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, communicate with laboratory staff and investigators, exhibit cultural competence, and maintain complete and organized human subjects research reports.
A minimum of 3 years of academic research experience is helpful, and familiarity in the following areas is desirable:Has worked as research coordinator for a clinical trial.
Has been involved in projects involving patient populations with neuromotor disorders.
Experience in participant recruitment, scheduling, and compensation.
Research coordination:

ability to organize and maintain human subjects research reports.

Bachelor's degree and two years of experience or Master's degree.

Salary Range
$40, $74,200.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
