Shipping & Warehouse Associate Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping & Warehouse Associate to join our team.

The Shipping & Warehouse Associate is responsible for ensuring accuracy as well as that the product is shipped economically as requested by the customer.

Organizes and maintains inventory efficiently and effectively to ensure the customer receives the product requested. Troubleshoot problems with the shipping or production coordinator that may impact the efficient delivery of products to the customer. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and working in a fast-paced environment. This position can be physically demanding, therefore physical stamina and a willingness to work in a dusty and dirty factory environment are required for this position


Shipping & Warehouse Responsibilities

• Strives for efficient and timely completion of customer orders meeting or exceeding customer promise date for delivery.
• Oversees finished inventory in the warehouse to ensure the product is organized and properly set up for efficient and effective delivery to the customer.
• Ensures that thorough communication is maintained with production and sales/customer service for deliveries.
• Would be the backup to the shipping coordinator in his or her absence.
• Performs cycle count and works to reconcile cycle count discrepancies to ensure the product count is represented.
• Retrieves orders and loads trucks using forklifts or other equipment
• Process outbound shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and scheduling pickups/deliveries
• Pick and pack orders as needed
• Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate counts and measurements
• Prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading and shipping labels
• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) or other software
• Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve any shipping or receiving issues

Skills and Qualifications for Shipping & Warehouse

• Strong knowledge of order fulfillment processes with an understanding of warehouse operations and best practices
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving requiring strong attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organizational skills
• Proficient in using computer systems for inventory management such as MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking
• Experience operating orderpicking equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks procedures with the ability to load and unload shipments safely and efficiently
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
• Familiarity with order fulfillment processes

Pay:
From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
