Position Summary


Collaborate with internal clients and industry experts to develop project specifications and suggest purchases that align with CSA's purchasing strategies.


Prepare and evaluate national and international bids from suppliers, negotiate agreements, and ensure project costs, quality, and deadlines are met through the project validation phase.


Essential Responsibilities, Duties, and Authority

  • Negotiate prices and conditions in collaboration with the commodity buyer
  • Achieve personal goals outlined in Workday
  • Respond to customer RFQs, if necessary
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings and reviews
  • Compile customer RFQ information to create supplier RFQs (including engineering, cost estimates, and sales support)
  • Manage RFQs to suppliers in accordance with the approved supplier panel and strategy
  • Send RFQs to customerdirected sources
  • Answer supplier RFQ questions about program information
  • Negotiate main conditions, costs, quality, and lead time
  • Compile supplier RFQ information and provide to cost estimating
  • Receive new program awards from sales
  • Conduct component risk assessments
  • Hold preaward meetings with suppliers and follow up as needed
  • Prepare presentations for the sourcing committee
  • Manage project followup with suppliers
  • Create and update project dashboards
  • Request orders for prototypes, tools, offtool components, and preserial from logistics
  • Manage technical evolutions of components and new designs
  • Oversee the switch from project to mass production (PSW)
  • Manage local I
