    POSITION SUMMARY:
    Supervision and oversight of a LIFE Adult Day Health Center


    Areas of responsibility include:

    safety and risk management; staff training and development; participant care; facility management; marketing, sales and customer relations; dietary services; purchasing/fiscal accountability; and volunteer utilization.

    All areas must meet health, regulatory, and accreditation standards.


    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure that the Center meets all licensure and accreditation standards.
    • Provide leadership in all areas of daily center operation; insure participant safety, effectiveness of programs and participant/family satisfaction.
    • Coordinate and supervise all site maintenance and housekeeping duties.
    • Direct/coordinate staffing including hiring, new hire orientation, scheduling, ongoing training, supervision, annual reviews, employee counseling and termination
    • Supervise the ordering, preparation and provision of meals/snacks.
    • Oversee all nursing and health services provided at the site.
    • Complete and submit required documents and reports.
    • Maintain and implement plans and drills in all emergency areas including fire, weather and disasters.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of practices for a site operating budget.
    • Coordinate participant transportation services.
    • Direct and oversee ADH program and activity offerings to ensure they are person-centered, individualized, age appropriate, and implemented in a manner that is considered 'best practice' for an ADH.
    • Participate in marketing, sales and public relations events, promoting ADH and LIFE Senior Services, Inc.
    • Coordinate and lead ADH site committee and leadership team meetings (e.g., safety committee).
    • Facilitate communication between all ADH sites and staff and liaison with all LIFE Senior Services staff to promote positive interactions and an atmosphere that instills team work and team spirit within the agency.
    CERTIFICATION, LICENSES,


    REGISTRATIONS:
    Long Term Care Administrators license or Adult Day Health License. Valid driver's license and car insurance. Must pass MVR background check and drug test. Possess basic first aid and CPR certification.


    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    At least three (3) years management. Experience in the areas of geriatrics preferred.

    AND ABILITIES:
    Self-directed, excellent organizational, problem solving and mediation skills. Ability to motivate and supervise staff in the attainment of goals and provide an organized, efficient work environment. Excellent verbal communication skills with older adults, caregivers and staff. Proficient in computer skills. Positive professional attitude and appearance.


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and push 200 pounds (in a wheelchair), 50% of the work is performed while standing or walking.
    • Good hearing and visual capability.
