NV5's San Diego office provides construction inspection and materials testing services as part of building-code required quality assurance and quality control services on construction projects.
Services entail inspection and testing of construction activities including but not limited to soils compaction, asphalt paving, concrete, masonry, welding, bolting, and fireproofing.
The Dispatcher will receive daily service requests from project clients' representatives, schedule appropriately qualified staff to fill each request, gather and forward project information to field staff for each field assignment.
Responsibilities:
- Record details of service requests. This often requires asking followup questions to obtain the detailed information we require to effectively fulfill each request.
- Schedule and dispatch construction inspectors and testing technicians to construction projects, typically within ~60 miles of San Diego, Riverside, and Irvine, CA offices
- Review daily dispatch schedule with project managers.
- Assist office administrative staff with filing, data entry, report distribution, and other similar tasks.
- Perform other tasks as time allows.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant position;
- Techsavvy with knowledge Excel and data entry
- Fast typing with experience in data entry
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
- Active listener with excellent communication skills
- Sound judgement and critical thinking
- High school diploma
