Job Summary:
Arizona Liver Health/Arizona Clinical Trials is looking for qualified candidates for the Senior Accountant position in Chandler.

Essential job functions/duties

Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
Prepares financial reports and accounting statements
Posts journal entries to general ledger
Generates summary sheets for use by supervisor or auditor
Processes payroll and prepares payroll reports
Proofs accounting reports for clerical accuracy
Allocates expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures
May hire, train, and oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of junior level accounting staff
Foster an environment of trust and collaboration
Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge/skills/abilities required
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience as an Analyst, Auditor, or Accountant
Thorough understanding of bookkeeping procedures and practices
Ability to train others in related practices and procedures regarding bookkeeping
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions thoroughly
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel
General knowledge of computer functions
Strong analytics skills
Proficient in QuickBooks use preferred
Supervisory responsibilities
Some supervisory responsibilities are required including ability to train junior accounting members
Work environment
Office setting On-site in Chandler
Physical demands
Able to lift at least 15 lbs.
Able to sit for long periods (at least 50%)
Able to type and do computer work for long periods
Travel Requirements
Some interoffice travel may be required with use of company vehicle or mileage reimbursement
Education, credentials, and/or trainings required
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
CMA candidate preferred
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
Must have valid documentation and authorization to work in the U.S.
