    Promoted is hiring a senior engineer with specific expertise in designing B2B SaaS APIs to lead our platform and open-source SDK and API development.

    When applying for this role, please review our APIs and SDKs at

    and provide constructive feedback and a review, including how you would improve our SDKs, APIs, and developer integration expereicne.

    Promoted's APIs include:
    Search + Ads + Recommendation API

    • Marketplace backends call this API to return an optimized list of items, promotions, and ads. It needs to be low latency, reliable, and handle fallbacks in case of timeouts.
    Event Logging API

    • Marketplaces log clientside events (item impressions and actions) to Promoted. Promoted processes these events in realtime and uses them in our recommendation system and reporting. This API needs to balance scale, latency and cost.
    Content APIs

    • Marketplaces send Promoted item (catalog) and user data. We process these immediately and use them in our recommendation and reporting systems.

    Promoted optimizes marketplace search and promotes the best listings at the top to increase revenue. For example, on Airbnb, we would decide what listings you see in Airbnb search.
