As a Product Owner, you will coordinate with stakeholders to discuss product plans and their impact in support of the Airports Authority, contributing to achievements its goals.

Product Owner

Serves in the Advanced Capabilities Department in the Office of Technology at the Headquarters Office.

Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure effective alignment of business processes, requirements, and user scenarios with modern software development practices. Coordinate with diverse teams to establish non-functional requirements, refine business rules, manage feature backlogs, and facilitate user acceptance. Proactively address technical challenges and risks, ensuring alignment and clarity through effective communication and documentation. Performs related functions.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES


Works with the Airports Authority and other stakeholders to develop business process maps, requirements, capabilities, user scenarios, and use cases.

Develops Non-Functional-Requirements (NFR) working closely with developers, security engineers, and other team members.

Develops acceptance criteria and definition of Done for Use Cases based on modern software development methodology.


Develops test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, test reports and others as appropriate for use case validation and scenario validation and signoff.

Conducts and orchestrates working sessions to develop business requirements, capabilities, persona maps, business processes, business rules, etc.


Works closely with the business and users' community to get their buy-in and sign off on business processes, requirements, capabilities, user scenarios, etc.

Works closely with the Software Development team to answer questions on feature specifications, sprint planning, execution, and closure.

Creates and maintains feature backlog and continues to develop detailed User Stories in advance of Sprint planning.

Develops supporting documents, presentations, and artifacts to support feature prioritization and value justification.

Develops user acceptance plan and executes with the help of project and business teams.


Develops software rollout plan, user onboarding plan, and user training plan and facilitates those with the help of the project team.

Collaborates with a diverse range of teams and individuals, embracing various backgrounds and perspectives.


Updates tasks, identifies dependencies, estimates efforts, foresees technical and implementation issues, risks, and challenges, and follows action plans as appropriate.

Prepares presentations, technical documents, and related artifacts to effectively convey concepts and ideas to team leads and broader stakeholders.

Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of five years of experience as a Product Owner for Cloud Web Applications. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience with Software Product Management Processes, DevOps, Agile, SDLC, Database Concepts, and Cloud Concepts.

Proficiency in HTML5, Adobe Illustrator, AWS/Azure, and Microsoft Office Suits.


Comprehensive knowledge in translating business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritizing features based on business value and customer feedback, and facilitating grooming sessions and sprint planning meetings.


Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and QA analysts, and conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform product decisions.


In-depth knowledge of business analysis techniques such as SWOT analysis, stakeholder interviews, and requirement elicitation, and product management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Trello.


Understanding of Customer needs and pain points, technical constraints and trade-offs in software development, and continuous improvement practices and metrics tracking for product success.

Strong project management skills to lead operational projects, including budgeting, planning, scheduling, execution, optimization, and resource management.

Hands-on implementation skillsets.

Be able to work under minimum supervision.


Ability to speak and write effectively, with emphasis on providing written documentation and oral briefings to sufficiently support rendered analyses and judgments and on communicating technical issues to non-technical audiences.

PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS
A Master's Degree in Business, Process Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study.

Training and/or Certification in UI/UX Tools (Adobe) and Concepts (like Design Thinking).

Exposure to modern software development concepts (like CI/CD) and implementation experience.

Experience in writing SQL script.
