Position Summary
Buena Vista Health and Recovery Centers is a growing, state of the art healthcare recovery center with multiple locations.

We are currently seeking a
BHT Supervisor to join our team of passionate healthcare professionals at our Chandler, AZ Campus.

The BHT Supervisor is responsible for the management and day to day operations of the Facility.

In this role, the Director ensures that all staff receive initial and ongoing training to support skills, oversees the of coordination of care, maintains appropriate staffing levels, and monitors patient flow.

This position will work within a multidisciplinary team made up of Managers, Clinical Leads, RN Managers and Directors.


The BHT Supervisor ensures that all risk management, health and safety, and quality management best practices are implemented for each unit he or she oversees.

Actively participate in strategic planning and corresponding development activities including regulatory preparedness and quality improvement. In ED's absence, operate the facility within that capacity. Assists the ED in collaborative efforts related to the development, communication and implementation of effective strategies and processes. Provide staff management to including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation. Assist with budgets and spending to ensure departments operate within funding limits. Evaluate operational processes by analyzing business objectives and patient needs.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, personnel policies and procedures.
  • Assures quality of care by developing departmental standards of care.
  • Provides staff management to including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
  • Coordinates the work and activities of assigned Behavioral Health Technician staff, including setting performance expectations in the daytoday operations of the shift or unit.
  • Responds to and manage emergencies.
  • Maintains communication and relationships between medical staff, other department staff and leadership team by attending meetings and coordinating interdepartmental functioning in support of the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Performs daytoday operational and administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
  • Prepares activity reports to inform management of the status and implementation plans of programs, services, and quality initiatives.
  • May, as determined by staffing or census needs, assist patient with their daily living activities, administer basic health care or treatments, participate in therapeutic or recreational group activities.
  • Manages the Intake process and assist in the discharging of patient.
  • Coordinates events and activities for patients, scheduling programs and activities as needed.
  • Provides transportation for patient as needed. May include driving of facility motor vehicle or coordinating transportation with appropriate staff member.
  • Demonstrates a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledges and works with treatment team to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
  • Assists with budgets and spending to ensure departments operate within funding limits.
  • Evaluates operational processes by analyzing business objectives and patient needs.
  • Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, & Codes of Conduct by evaluating and recommending investigations as appropriate. Coordinates resolution of ethics reports with VP of Compliance and/or VP of Quality and Compliance, General Counsel and as indicated Corporate HR Business Partner.
  • Initiates and lead communications with regulatory agencies as appropriate.
  • Develops/maintains proficiency in regulatory planning strategy and the submission of regulatory plans. Develops corrective action plans for the resolution of problematic issues or to address areas of compliance vulnerability.
  • Ensures proper facility reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required.
  • Ensures proper facility reporting of incidents and adverse clinical outcomes to duly authorized enforcement agencies or regulatory agencies as appropriate and/or required.
  • Translates standards, requirements, and policies into terms or processes meaningful to the target program.
  • Maintains regular communication with clinical/leadership staff at assigned facilities regarding clinical and regulatory/accreditation issues.
  • Performs other functions and tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must have and maintain valid CPR/First Aid and CPI certifications
  • Must have and maintain valid Level one fing
