Proper Meals LA is seeking a talented and dedicated Chef to lead our meal preparation and delivery operations.

As the Chef, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen, creating delicious and nutritious meals, and ensuring timely delivery to our customers.

This role requires culinary expertise, organizational skills, and a passion for providing high-quality food services.


Responsibilities:


  • Menu Planning and

Meal Preparation:
Develop weekly menus that cater to our customers' dietary preferences and requirements. Prepare meals according to established recipes and portion sizes while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.

  • Kitchen Management: Oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including inventory management, food ordering, and equipment maintenance. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Delivery Coordination: Coordinate meal deliveries with the delivery team to ensure timely and accurate distribution to our customers. Maintain communication with customers regarding delivery schedules and any special requests or accommodations.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all meals meet our standards for taste, texture, and presentation. Address any customer feedback or concerns in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Operational Efficiency: Optimize kitchen operations to maximize productivity and minimize waste. Implement costsaving measures where possible without compromising on food quality or customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Service: Uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service by providing friendly and responsive support to inquiries and feedback. Strive to exceed customer expectations with every meal.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef or sous chef in a commercial kitchen environment, preferably in meal preparation and delivery services.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced, highpressure environment.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.

Compensation:
This is a full-time position with a weekly commitment of approximately 40 hours. The compensation package is negotiable and will be discussed during the interview process.
