Job Description

Unit: Polysomnographic Technologist (Sleep Tech)

Note: NY licensure is required.

Unit & Patient Details

• Unit Size & Patient Volume: 4 beds
• Patient Ratio: 2:1

• Common Disorders: OSA, CSA, Mixed Complex Apnea, Narcolepsy, some Cardiac and Seizure cases

Primary Sleep Studies Conducted:

• PSG (Polysomnography)
• PSG with titration
• MSLT (Multiple Sleep Latency Test)
• MWT (Maintenance of Wakefulness Test)
• Inspire titration (training provided, new service)
• Scoring

• PSG with seizure montage

Technology & Equipment

• Scoring & Reporting Software: Cadwell

Scheduling & Requirements

• On-Call: No
• Certification Requirements: RPSGT or RRT with SDS
• Patient Population: Adults (13+)

Additional Expectations:
- Sleep Tech must score studies in real-time while performing them, requiring strong multitasking skills.
- This role involves working independently with minimal supervision.
