    Our company, which includes a longstanding service-based organization and a newly launched tech software provider, is looking for a Corporate Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in an accounting-related field (CPA is a bonus) and several years of proven direct experience. The right candidate will be extremely professional, flexible, and able to handle all aspects of the controller position. This is a full-time position based in our office in Rochester, MI.

    Responsibilities

    The Controller will work directly with our leadership team, including our fractional CFO, CEO, and General Counsel, to maintain high standards in our finance department. Key responsibilities include:

    • Financial oversight and strategy.
    • Cash flow management.
    • Data analysis and modeling.
    • Financial management and reporting.
    • Budgeting and forecasting.
    • Client accounting and oversight.
    • Payroll and staff benefit management.

    Requirements

    SKILLS

    • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
    • Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations.
    • Expertise in corporate finance.
    • Experience tracking budgets and expenses.
    • Skill in developing budgets.
    • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes.
    • Strong understanding of data analysis.
    • Experience processing payroll and managing employee benefits.

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.

    EXPERIENCE

    • 3-5 years as a Controller.
