• Cognetic Technologies is searching to hire an experienced Database Developer for a fulltime position to support our federal J2EE software development team

• Requires 3+ Years of professional MS SQL Server development experience.
• Understanding of database design practices.
• Strong SQL coding skills (SQL Server/T-SQL).
• Experience designing, implementing, testing, tuning, and optimizing stored procedures.
• Debugging database performance issues.
• Experience working with large data sets and large databases is preferred.
• Experience supporting a team of developers.
• Experience and understanding of the U.S. DoD personnel domain is preferred.
• Must be an effective verbal and written communicator.

• Design, create, alter, and maintain MS SQL Server 2017+ objects including tables, views, triggers, scalar functions, tablevalued functions, stored procedures, and indexes.
• As a part of the development team, participate in all phases of development projects and provide creation and modification of database objects to support ongoing tasking.
• Develop, maintain, and support multiple enterprise level DoD personnel SQL Server Databases, data feeds, and stored procedures.
• Work with business users to define, refine, and complete meaningful data requests to support requirements.

• Applicant must be U.S. Citizen. Current DoD Secret clearance desirable. Applicant will be required to obtain and hold a DoD Secret clearance as well as maintain some certifications including Security+ and Windows Server 2012+.
