The network planning department at the Ruhr Regional Center, with approximately 60 employees, is responsible for planning, project management, construction, and documentation of electricity distribution networks in the medium and low voltage range, street lighting systems, and broadband networks in the cities of Essen and Mülheim an der Ruhr.

Within network planning, the Asset Management team is responsible for surveying and documentation, as well as managing properties and rights related to distribution network facilities and lines.
