Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients.

Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, ensuring infection control protocols are followed, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for each patient
• Take dental xrays
• Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and postoperative care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records (EHR)
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
• Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
• Process dental insurance claims and assist with medical coding
• Utilize Dentrix software for appointment scheduling, billing, and recordkeeping

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
• Current certification in dental assisting (CDA) or registered dental assistant (RDA) license preferred
• Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and dental procedures
• Familiarity with dental systems, including Dentrix software, is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatric patients
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and commitment to maintaining a sterile environment

$ $26.15 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
