Inventory Specialist
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Purchasing/Inventory Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our purchasing and inventory management processes.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and developing effective vendor relationships.


In this role, you will be responsible for:

Inventory Management:


  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Analyze demand patterns and forecast inventory requirements to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Implement inventory control procedures, such as regular cycle counts, stock rotation, and monitoring expiration dates.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage returns, rejections, and defective products.
  • Utilize inventory management software systems to track stock levels, generate reports, and identify areas for improvement.

Vendor Management:


  • Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts to secure favorable agreements.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and service levels, and address any issues proactively.
  • Conduct periodic supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards and ethical practices.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve product or delivery issues and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Stay updated on market trends and industry developments to identify potential new suppliers and foster competitive bidding.

Qualifications:_

○ Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

○ Proven experience in purchasing and inventory management roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

○ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

○ Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

○ Proficiency in inventory management software systems and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

○ Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

○ Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.

○ Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to purchasing and inventory management.
