Description
:

Responsible to ensure the quality standards of Kaney, Inc. in products produced. This includes developing inspection plans, programming and operating CMM, and performing inspections.


Requirements:


Major Responsibilities:


  • Program and operate CMM.
  • Develop part holding fixtures for CMM.
  • Perform inspections including first article, receiving, Inprocess, and final.
  • Perform inspections for PPAP including MSA and capability study data collection.
  • Develop Inspection plans and First Article Inspection (FAI) reports.
  • Participate in the nonconformance and corrective action processes.
  • Work with engineering, production, and others as necessary to resolve quality issues.
  • Review procedures, make updates when required, and approve per process.
  • Support the organization in training individuals or groups.
  • Perform / assist in the Internal Auditing and other auditing processes.
  • Work with registrar, customer, and thirdparty auditors as required.
  • Attain Designated Quality Representative (DQR) status with customers.
  • Support and lead proactive continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform other QA related activities as assigned by the Quality Director.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Associates degree in a Quality or Engineering related field or
  • 35 years of experience in aerospace machining and/or assembly required, or equivalent combination of both.

Minimum Competencies:


  • Experience with AS9100 certification and documentation required.
  • Must be able to use applied knowledge of root cause and other problemsolving methods.
  • Expert knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
  • Ability to perform dimensional inspections using wide variety of inspection equipment (simple handtools to CMM).
  • Experience in programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machine using PCDMIS.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification a plus.

Preferred Competencies:


  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
