The district of Potsdam-Mittelmark is located southwest of Berlin and Potsdam and, as an important employer in the region, offers over 1,100 employees an attractive and future-oriented workplace.

The district of Potsdam-Mittelmark is currently seeking a Climate Protection and Climate Adaptation Officer (m/f/d) to join our team at the earliest possible date.

Your duties will include a weekly working time of 39 hours at our location in Bad Belzig. The position is permanent and classified in pay group 11 TVöD (VKA).

Your responsibilities:

Development and implementation of a strategy to manage climate protection and climate adaptation measures (including analysis, monitoring, controlling, and project conception in the field of climate and energy, including grant management)
Consulting and supporting other departments of the district administration in matters of climate protection and climate adaptation
Engaging with companies in the district on the topic of climate protection/energy efficiency
Public relations (including planning public relations activities for climate protection, preparing and accompanying press events, participating in and organizing competitions and campaigns, organizing and moderating professional events)
Crosssector networking (including collaboration and consulting with economic actors in the district, establishing and participating in networks)

What we expect:

A successfully completed degree from a university of applied sciences in business administration with a focus on climate and energy, a degree in climate management, or an engineering
