    Description


    Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility.

    We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 100 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

    What you'll do:

    Perform a wide range of tasks including: requirements development, system modeling, safety analysis, verification procedure creation, test execution and preparing certification documentation Perform Integration activities of the Flight Deck Avionics System in the Avionics and Integrated LabsCoordinate Integrated Avionics related development, integration and verification activities between Archer teams and suppliersAssist with definition of installation and qualification requirements for equipment within the Avionics System Participate in architecture definition, trade studies, and mutli-disciplinary integration problem solvingEnsure the requirement sets are complete and correct, with traceability to and fulfilling higher-level requirementsCoordinate with other System Engineers to ensure the fully integrated aircraft meets its requirements and is optimizedBased in Archer HQ, San Jose, CA.

    Travel: 10% or lessWhat you need:Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communicationPassion for learning and problem solvingCollaborative Mindset, Willingness to step in and support where neededBachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related field)10+ years of experience in Integrated avionics systems development, integration and/or installationExperience on one or more programs with a formal Systems Engineering processExperience with: 14 CFR Part 23 and/or 25 Certification, ARP-4754/ARP-4761, DO-254, DO-178b/c, DO-160Experience with functional and non-functional requirement definition for Integrated Avionics computing and networking componentsExperience executing formal Validation and Verification activities in a civil aerospace programSignificant Experience with Requirements Management Tools such as Polarian and/or DOORS

    Bonus Qualifications:

    Experience with: 14 CFR Part 91 and/or 135 Certification Experience with general aviation VFR/IFR flight operationsExperience with Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance SystemsExperience developing or using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models and toolsExperience with Agile development methodsAt Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business.

    We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company's business strategy.

    For this position we are targeting a base pay between $151,680-$189,600.

    Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
