THE OPPORTUNITY (POSITION OVERVIEW)**The Deputy Director of Behavior Support will provide service to the schools by oversight of School Psychologists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and Behavior Intervention Specialists. This includes working along school Student Support Teams, providing Crisis Response pre and postvention, supporting school counselors, oversight of IEPs, and oversight of 504 learning plans.


WHAT YOU WILL DO (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)**Work collaboratively with all iLEAD CA staff to build needed behavior programs for schools. Supervise and schedule iLEAD CA Special Education team of School Psychologists, BCBAs, and BSS (RBT) personnel. Work collaboratively on school campuses with all school staff to establish learner mental health and wellness programs. Work collaboratively on school campuses with all school staff to provide needed learner behavior support programs. Work collaboratively on school campuses with school staff to build pre and post Crisis Response programs. Work collaboratively on school campuses with DIS counselors in the schools to assure learning goals and service minutes are in place. Work collaboratively on school campuses with school staff to assure that learner 504 plans are written, timelines are met, and being implemented. Work collaboratively on campuses with school staff to establish social skills and behavior support groups for all children as needed. Assure that IEP behavior plans and goals are written, viable, and being implemented. Prepare reports surrounding IEP services, behavior interventions, learner behaviors for analysis.- Other duties as assigned.


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide ongoing support and actively collaborate with all iLEAD educational partners, Schools leaders and employees to ensure that the mission, vision, values and philosophy of iLEAD Schools is clearly understood and carried out. Represent iLEAD Schools in a positive and professional manner in all interactions and communications. Follow and actively participate in development of all iLEAD Schools guidelines, policies and procedures. Maintain professional competence through participation in professional development activities provided by iLEAD Schools and self-selected professional growth activities. Perform other responsibilities as defined by the Supervisor.- Provide ongoing support and actively collaborate with all iLEAD educational partners, Schools leaders and employees to ensure that the mission, vision, values and philosophy of iLEAD Schools is clearly understood and carried out.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Communicating with others to exchange information. (In Person/Telephone/Computer) Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions. When needed to support a school or education program, must have the ability to travel by public transit as well as operate a vehicle for self-transportation purposes between worksites. Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned. May encounter outdoor elements: high (>90)/low (<60) temperatures, precipitation and/or wind. Ability to work in situations involving the need to make informed and quick decisions. Ability to supervise/manage workers and delegate as needed in project management situations. Reading detailed documentation and analyzing data sets. Writing professionally, both by hand and utilizing computer software. Speaking in public settings including making public presentations to large and small groups. Dealing and navigating professionally through high-stress situations. Must be available for in-person work and travel to school locations. Frequency to be determined in collaboration with the designated supervisor.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING (QUALIFICATIONS)**- School Psychologist Credential required. Special Education experience required. Leadership experience required. Strong understanding of current trends and best practices in learner behavior interventions and strategies. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Ab
