    Job DescriptionLockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Manager for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to manage Quality Management System personnel and processes to assure all manufactured product in supported manufacturing areas meet or exceed design and process requirements.

    In addition, the selected applicant will also promote and suggest improvements to Quality and Manufacturing processes which aid in promoting continuous improvement activities.

    The individual will be responsible for Quality Assurance Management for specified Dallas operation site quality areas and their respective Inspectors and Quality Engineers.

    This team provides support for multiple production and development programs.

    The Quality Manager will be responsible for:

    • Managing Quality Assurance capital, organizational and manpower budgets to ensure that budgets are met.
    • Driving improvements to Quality Engineering and Inspection processes to reduce touch time and increase efficiency.
    • Serving as the primary Quality contact between Dallas Manufacturing areas, off sites, supported programs, internal compliance group and DCMA.
    • Championing Quality concepts across all functional groups to promote a Quality approach to system improvements.
    • Acting as the liaison between Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality, and Industrial Engineering to ensure that a multifunctional team approach is taken to produce the highest quality product.
    • Driving the Quality mindset throughout the multifunctional disciplines, promote and teach Quality approaches to all efforts.
    • Driving one company, one team philosophy through communication and personal behavior.
    • Driving continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma tool sets.

    Additional Job Functions and Task Assignments are received in objective oriented terms and provides guidance to subordinates based on organizational goals and company policy.

    Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the organization's objectives, schedules, and financial goals. The selected candidate will also be responsible for establishing operating policies and procedures that affect subordinate functional Quality organization.


    Such as:

    • Interpreting, executing, and recommending modifications to Quality policies and procedures.
    • Exerting influence in the development of overall objectives and long range goals of the site Electrical manufacturing areas.
    • Frequently contacting with higher level managers, industry peers, and customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, technical activities, schedules, and general overall performance of site manufacturing areas.
    • Conducting performance briefings and technical presentations for LOB directors, site management and program management.
    Basic Qualifications-Bachelors degree in STEM field or higher OR equivalent experience/combined education.
    • Experienced Leader in Quality Assurance Processes, Practices and Procedures related to DOD contracts.
    • Strong understanding and working knowledge of a union represented workplace.
    • Strong understanding and working knowledge of MFC SAP and Apriso functions relative to the MRB process and the processing of hardware through the manufacturing and inspection steps in a factory environment.
    • Skilled in interpersonal communication which facilitates execution of cross functional goals.
    • Skilled in driving the development and implementation of process improvements and quality systems in manufacturing processes.
    • Strong interpersonal skills that promote teamwork across multiple functions and motivate support personal to achieve common goals.
    • Experience in the Quality Control environment of a manufacturing facility.

    Desired skills
    • Bachelors degree in STEM field or higher preferred.
    • ASQ Certified Quality Manager.
    • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
    • Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt certification.

    Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.


    Colorado Pay StatementPay Rate:


    The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $107,400 - $205,900 .

    Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

    (Washington state applicants only)

    Non-represented full-time employees:

    accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

    Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.

    PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
    This position is incentive plan eligible.


    Premium Pay StatementPay Rate:


    The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $123,500 - $232,800.
