This position supports Preventative Health and Community CPR/AED programming. Responsible for assisting DuPage Health Coalition clients to access health promoting community-based fitness/wellness services. Works closely with leadership to coordinate and grow the programs.


Essential Duties:

Program Coordination_

  • Develops and maintains partnerships within the community to facilitate CPR and AED instruction and education.
  • Develops and maintains partnerships within the community to facilitate improved access to wellness activities for lowincome DuPage County residents.
  • Serve as the primary contact for scheduling and event coordination.
  • Recommends changes to the program as appropriate.
  • Enter data and maintain accurate database for tracking utilization of services provided and coordinated; produce or assist in production of reports regarding service utilization and other ad hoc requests.
  • Provide clients and facilities documentation of coordinated services.

CPR Instructor Duties_

  • As needed, completes and maintains certification as CPR Instructor.
  • As needed, provide community CPR, AED or Naloxone education/demonstration.
  • Ensures events are properly staffed with instructors and DHC team members.
  • Attend CPR events and conduct participant assessments.
  • Coordinate AED installation for community partners.

Community Outreach and Education_

  • Conduct community outreach and engage new partners to support program growth and development.
  • In cooperation with other DHC team members participate in outreach activities. to educate the public and community partners on DHC programs and services.
  • Participate in marketing and outreach opportunities to increase program visibility, increase program participation, increase community awareness, and increase client understanding of all programs, with special focus on growing capacity and success of Access Fit and Everyday Hero programs.
  • Become sufficiently knowledgeable regarding DuPage County health and community resources to support members and partners needing services outside DHC scope.
  • Provide coverage for teammates as requested and needed.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Additional Qualifications and Skills:

Must be skilled in use of information systems including MS software. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Demonstrates honesty and ethical behavior.

Bilingual Spanish/English required.


Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


Physical Demands:
This is largely a sedentary role in the office; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Event set up may require moving or lifting training equipment.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time hybrid position that requires 40 hours of work a week, with occasional evening and Saturday hours as needed and work schedule may shift in accordance. Normal office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.


Travel:
Minimum short-distance travel is expected for this position. Travel for work purposes is eligible for mileagereimbursement.
