Overview:

We are seeking skilled and reliable employees to join our team as Field Installation Technicians.

In this role, you will be responsible for traveling to customer locations to install and maintain our innovative Linus scrap-management platform.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while providing valuable support to our customers in maximizing the value of their scrap metal and enhancing operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with the installation team and customers to schedule installation dates, typically with 24 weeks' notice.
Ensure timely delivery of all necessary hardware, including platform scales, Linus Core unit, antenna, cabling, and other equipment, by coordinating with warehouses.
Bring tools onsite to perform installations, ensuring all necessary equipment is readily available.
Coordinate with weights & measures company to provide a traceable calibration weight for installation purposes.
Tag and weigh each scrap bin at the customer's facility to integrate them into the Linus system effectively.
Coordinate with scrap dealers to schedule emptying of existing rolloff scrap bins postinstallation, ensuring synchronization with Linus Cloud before system usage begins.
Provide maintenance and troubleshooting support for installed Linus systems as needed.
Document installation procedures, configurations, and any issues encountered during installations for future reference and improvement.

Requirements:

Extensive experience with hand and power tools.
Previous experience in technical installation and maintenance roles, preferably in a similar field.
Ability to work independently and efficiently while adhering to project timelines and customer expectations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with internal teams, customers, and external vendors.
Willingness to travel to customer locations as required, typically with advanced notice.
Attention to detail and accuracy in performing installations and system configurations.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and schedules.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to customer sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with RFID technology or similar wireless tracking systems.
Familiarity with scrap management or industrial manufacturing processes.
Certification or training in weights & measures calibration procedures.
Basic understanding of cloudbased platforms and networking principles.

This position requires traveling up to 90% of the time. Airfare, lodging, transportation and meals are covered while traveling.

Pay:
Up to $50,000.00 per year
