PURPOSE OF POSITION - To oversee the Personal Services, OTPS, Affiliation Contract and Grants Budgets for Bellevue Hospital Center


AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES - Budget Development, Budget Monitoring, Supervision of Staff, Fiscal Reporting to internal and external entities


SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees the Operating Budget, Personal Service (PS), Discretionary Other than Personal Services (OTPS), Grants, and Affiliation Contract budgets for Bellevue Hospital Center
  • Updates the Budget annually and assists in the development of and reporting on the Base Budget, Modifications, New Initiatives, Business Plans and Programs to Eliminate the Gap (PEG)
  • Works with the CFO and Senior Leadership, to assess the need and adjudicate all new hires backfills, and temporary agency worker requests and with the New York University Affiliation Office and H+H to assess the need and adjudicate all new hire, backfill and Locum requests
  • Oversees the preparation of monthly and quarterly Grant ROE submissions for over 65 Grants and Intracity Programs
  • Develops specific financial reports from accumulated actual data, provides cost analysis and reports for special variable situations using operating statistics.
  • Must be a Self-Starter who is able to work under pressure and adjust to changing priorities in fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to look at data and trends and be able to implement strategies and solutions to mitigate any issues that arise. Work collaboratively with the Data team.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

Four (4) years of responsible-level experience in fiscal management or administration with an emphasis on financial systems and reporting preferably in a Healthcare setting


EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related discipline with an emphasis on accounting and financial systems


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Strong interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent analytical skills and experience supervising staff and working with large data sets


COMPUTER PROGRAMS/SOFTWARE OPERATED:
Microsoft Office Suite; PeopleSoft; SQL and/or Python proficiency


Pay:
$160, $180,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
