Position Summary:

The Controller is responsible for the overall financial management of Tex-Tube Company and certain affiliate companies.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Produces monthly financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Responsible for leading monthend closure including financial analysis and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Reviews and approves all journal entries.
Recommends benchmarks (KPIs) that will be used to measure the company's performance.
Produces annual budget and monthly profitability forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit (PBCs).
Approves weekly checkrun and outgoing wire transfers.
Oversees AR collections and serves as escalation point for all collections issues.
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
Manages and mentors' direct reports. Provides training as needed.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Build team and individual capability, ensuring personal effectiveness for work in current and future roles.
Multiple direct reports.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish), a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. (specifically MS Excel)
Experience with SAP (preferred)
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work in a fastpaced environment.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting (manufacturing) required.
Prior experience with intercompany billings and settlements, a plus.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration required.
Five years or more of related experience required.
Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation is a plus.
