Assistant Project Manager

KBR is looking for an Assistant/Deputy Project Manager to join our Government Solutions—Defense Systems Engineering Team. The successful applicant will report directly to the Principal Program Manager and be responsible for applying their knowledge and experience with project execution to support various Army Ground and Navy customers. The ideal candidate would have excellent organization and communication skills with project management/project coordination experience and a military background, preferably Army Ground. This position offers a flexible remote workplace setting.

In This Role, You Will...

Responsible for assisting in the daily execution and management of various diverse and geographically dispersed customer base. The candidate will assist in the management and execution of multiple programs for cost, schedule, and performance. Will develop/enhance processes for the preparation of and utilization of project plans, financial databases, and processes associated with the execution of onsite and solution-based support to the Project Office.
Coordinates and briefs the customer on project information as well as solutions based on specified customer requests.
Assist in managing the company's contracted/subcontracted personnel for multiple technical, logistical, and programmatic projects within U.S. Army + US Navy Project Offices.
Coordinates updates for program planning, execution, controlling, delivering, funding, and the development of forecasting reports.
Collects, completes, manages, organizes, and interprets technical data, tasking, outputs, reports, and financial information relating to program execution.
Develops program estimates for new business and manages costs expended against legacy budgets.
Develops and maintains tracking methods to monitor program execution using existing information, derived information, and reporting systems.
Successfully integrate and coordinate activity needed to execute the task order and emerging requirements.
Manage the timeliness and quality of work performed and effective management of the workforce.
Serve as a point of contact between KBR, our customers & personnel assigned to support these task orders.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen

Experience:

Must have at least 4 years of direct experience within the Military and/or supporting DOD customers in a program or project coordination/assistance capacity.
Must be proficient in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel (XLookup, SumProduct, Offset, Power Pivot, Power Query, Pivot Tables) & PowerPoint
Must have excellent communication & organizational skills.
Possess Technical/IT acumen and be capable of grasping the features, functions, and specifications of the software we deliver.

Education: Must have a HS Diploma or GED. Bachelors degree preferred, but not required.

Clearance: Must have an active Secret clearance or be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. The applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desired, but not required:

US Army experience using JDMS software to move data

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week

Compensation: $68,000-$80,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
