This position is a temporary position with a schedule of Monday-Sunday approximately 9am-6pm, on-site in
Flager County.


Conduct research and assessments to determine the community's needs, thoroughly plan events and programs, participate in hiring staff and volunteers, and liaise with sponsors and suppliers.

Within scope of position, represents the entire disaster cycle of preparedness, response and recovery.

  • Coordinate onestop center approach to guide disaster survivors to the various programs provided the organization and other state agencies manage (e.g., LIHWAP, LIHEAP, EBL)
  • Event set up on an everyday basis
  • Approaching and talking to people in malls, on the street, and in their homes about the company or organization.
  • Displaying knowledge of the product or organization and attempting to sway opinions.
  • Get information, such as contact details and signatures for followup
  • Work both individually and within a team environment to set and accomplish daily goals
  • Consistently meet daily and weekly quotas for client information and signature acquisition
  • Answering questions about the product or organization.
  • Provide community outreach services to help ensure the impacted communities see the client and state resources presence in the time of most need
  • Provide security services for DRCs
  • Provide situational reports to meet the needs of the organization to brief on site activities and community impact
  • Maintaining a professional appearance.
  • All other duties assigned by the Management Team

Required Education & Skills:


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Case Management Consulting Services
  • Must be able to pass a Level II background check
  • Exceptional written communication and oral communication
  • Ability to follow directions and complete tasks within stated deadlines with limited supervision
  • Positive attitude and customeroriented approach to problemsolving
  • Awareness and understanding of situations that warrant escalation to a supervisor
  • Cultural competency appropriate to the local community
  • Detailoriented approach with everyday tasks
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Relevant experience in volunteer services or disaster relief preferred
  • Ability to coordinate staff and volunteer activities.
  • Ability to interpret program trends, results, and related data to formulate recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong skills in planning and problem solving.

Physical Requirements:


  • Capable of working extended hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, if and when the position requires it.
  • Must have the ability to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed.
  • Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying, and moving objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs. This movement can occur throughout the day.
  • Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.
  • Must have finger dexterity for holding objects, typing, etc.
  • Ability to work afterhours and on weekends.
  • Ability to travel extensively as needed.
  • Ability to work outdoors.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods.

$ $25.00 per hour
