    Overview:

    The client is seeking a local Mid-Level Java Developer who has experience designing and developing Java-based applications.

    Responsibilities: You will provide technical system solutions and design.

    Develop and support modules and subsystems for J2EE/Java Applications

    Document Module Requirements/Module Design

    Attend team meetings and communicate progress/issues

    Generate code and correct, convert, and/or modify existing code to meet specifications

    Consult with system architects and Senior Developers to analyze specified methods and procedures

    Perform a variety of testing procedures, analyze test results, and correct problems.

    Provides technical assistance to less experienced personnel in the resolution of systems related problems. Self-managed with the ability to mentor others.

    Required Skills:

    5+ years experience developing Javabased web applications

    Experience developing complex web sites, workflows, and automated solutions in Java

    Ability to assist in gathering, consolidating, and prioritizing functional requirements and identifying/implementing technical solutions

    Struts development to include general Java Web Development, Java/J2EE, and JSP

    Experience working with Oracle, SQL and Web development tools

    Knowledge of Oracle/WebLogic Application Server development

    Knowledge of working with Java Swing applications

    Strong coding and debugging skills

    Exceptional trouble shooting and problem solving skills

    A knack of working well both in a team and independent high pressured environment with tight deadlines

    Excellent documentation skills

    Excellent verbal and written communications skills

    Highly effective at exchanging information clearly and concisely

    Job Requirements:

    Required Education:

    BS/CS or related degree from an accredited University / College.

    Certification:

    Java Certification a plus

    Required Soft Skills:

    Fluency and clarity in English is essential

    Be able to communicate your message effectively

    Client-centric attitude

    Preferred:

    Federal Government Experience

    Talented with balancing various ongoing tasks and maintaining communication with clients and project leads
