(Senior) Mechanical Designer E-Mobility (m/f/d) Job Description In this role, you will develop the mechanics for electronic control units and power electronics for use in safety-critical automotive and aviation applications. As an experienced designer, you will support the sub-project management with your technical expertise and work across interfaces with various development teams as well as internal and external customers. Further development towards classic project management or technical lead designer is actively supported. Your tasks Design and dimensioning of mechanical components, such as milling & casting parts, plastic parts, stamping & bending partsDevelopment and evaluation of mechanical solutions with regard to package, costs, assembly and manufacturabilityIntegration of electronic assemblies in coordination with the specialist departmentsExamination of design and manufacturing documentsEvaluation and, if necessary, implementation of FEM/CFD analyses and calculationsSupport and evaluation of validationCommunication and coordination of the design with manufacturing partnersParticipation in the creation of offers, planning and allocation of work packagesImplementation of development projects as the main contact person of the sub-project manager Your competencies Completed degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable qualificationSeveral years of professional experience in designManufacturing-oriented design with various materials and manufacturing processes (milling, casting, stamping, bending, turning, gluing, pressing)Very good CAD knowledge, preferably CREO knowledge in handling FEM/CFD analysesBasic knowledge of electronic components and manufacturing processesBasic knowledge of the product development cycle and quality requirements in the automotive or aviation
