United Health Services is seeking a Financial Counselor to join our Access Care 02 department at 33 Lewis Rd in Binghamton, NY.

This position is benefits eligible.

Salary range:
$ $24.42 per hour, depending on experience.

Overview


The Financial Counselor serves as the health care facility's primary contact to provide financial counseling to all insured patients for purposes of securing prepayment in full or within 30 days of any patient liability.

Liability includes any financial responsibility such as co-payment, deductible and co-insurance.


Qualifications:

Education/Experience


Minimum Required:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent (GED).
  • 1 year of experience in the collection field.
  • 2 years prior office/clerical experience with the ability to perform simple mathematical computations with high degree of accuracy.

Preferred:

  • Additional collection experience and knowledge of medical terminology.
