    Job Description


    This position works collaboratively with other members of the Clinical Care Coordination team to ensure that authorization requests, provider and member inquiries are handled appropriately, within established timeframes and utilizing established guidelines.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Process incoming and outgoing faxes.
    • Place outbound calls for patient hospital admission status for non-delegated cases or delegated cases as needed, verifying real time hospital admissions and hospital provider information.
    • Process discharge status in EZ cap.
    • Receive/Answers call through Inpatient phone queue lines.
    • Route incoming calls and faxes to designated sub team or fax lines.
    • Send notifications for admissions and call back requests from providers, authorization status update via outlook or phone.
    • Verify members eligibility via health plan portals or eligibility department.
    Minimum Job Requirements

    • Required a High School or GED.
    • Intermediate demonstrated
    interpersonal/verbal

    communication skills.

    • Intermediate ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers and management.
    • Intermediate ability to work effectively within group to achieve desired outcomes.
    • Required intermediate Microsoft Outlook Proficient in Microsoft Office such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
