Description

Perform entry level warehouse operations including one or more of the following: shipping, receiving, material handling, inventory control, cycle counting, or purchasing.

Day-to-Day Role:

Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements
Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards
Follow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
Load or unload freight or product manually or via forklift, lift truck or pallet jack
Move materials to appropriate storage space
Coordinate and schedule work for dock management, routing and sequencing of trailers or rail freight
Perform cycle counts and inventory control responsibilities
Prepare, process and distribute shipment documentation for all inbound and outbound services
Liaise with internal and external transport companies and departments to coordinate, prioritize and expedite incoming and outgoing shipments
Track and maintain appropriate documentation
Create, compile, and deliver required reports
Record, control, and monitor information in ERP or other computer systems
Prepare and pack goods for shipment
Verify, compare, and confirm type and quality of shipped or received goods against Bill of Lading, invoices, or pick tickets
Weigh, count, and inspect the state of incoming and outgoing products
Report and record any discrepancy, damaged items, shortages, broken or unidentified packages to the supervisor
Assist in training new employees on warehouse procedures

Core Skills and Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate jobrelated processes
Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create reports, documents, and spreadsheets in MS Word and MS Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects and priorities
Ability to utilize and train employees on technology, processes and procedures
Ability to obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) license
Ability to demonstrate basic math calculations and dimensional counting skills
Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and ongoing communications about safety and quality issues

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

One (1) year prior warehouse or material handling experience preferred
Experience using ERP or other shipping and receiving software preferred
Prior SAP experience preferred
Experience in a manufacturing or highvolume warehouse environment, preferred
Paper converting, chemical/plastics processing and packaging industrial experience, preferred
