- Provide support for analyzer engineering activities throughout the refinery
- Direct critical activities related to analyzers
- Offer technical input in prioritizing equipment repairs
- Review engineering projects to ensure compliance with refinery standards
- Direct third-party design engineering and construction contractors
- Support analyzer technicians in maintaining analyzers and documenting history
- Identify and evaluate new analyzer technologies
- Administer the continuous emission analyzer monitoring preventative maintenance program
- Own/update site analyzer practices
- Oversee the area monitor program
- Identify obsolete analyzers/equipment and update the 10-year analyzer budgetary plan accordingly
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering/Engineering Technology
- Minimum 5 years of industrial analyzer engineering experience
- Experience with electrical schematic drawings, logic diagrams, and panel schedules
- Preferably at least 2 years in a refinery environment
- Knowledge of refining process/operations, environmental air regulations, sample system design
- Knowledge of industry codes such as ANSI/API codes, ISA standards, and NEC
- Successful candidate must have (or be able to obtain) a TWIC card

The Analyzer Engineer is responsible for identifying safety & reliability improvement opportunities and leading refinery analyzer projects. This role involves reviewing instrument design, providing technical support for analyzer system specification, installation, configuration, and maintenance. The primary focus is on supporting analyzer engineering activities throughout the refinery. Responsibilities include developing and managing refinery analyzer projects, project definition, economic analysis, engineering design, field execution, project startup, and documentation.
