At the Institute for Artificial Intelligence, a position as a Research Associate (m/f/d) in the field of Trustworthy Natural Language Processing (NLP) (pay grade 13 TV-L, 100%) is available at the earliest possible date.

The position is limited to three years, with the possibility of extension.


Tasks


The focus is on innovative research in the field of NLP and its scientific publication at renowned international conferences and journals.

The position is part of a cooperative project that investigates how people can be best supported in sustainable resource management.

One focus is on the generation of factually accurate and understandable explanations, with the aim of developing new research directions in this field.

We are looking for highly motivated candidates who want to work and learn creatively in a young team, and who are committed to making positive changes through open and independent research.


Your Profile

  • Completed university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields
  • Solid understanding of Machine Learning, including practical experience, ideally in the context of NLP
  • Advanced programming skills in Python
  • Demonstrable skills in scientific writing (e.g. through an excellent Master's thesis) are expected
  • Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written
